Why Lovelipop Scans?
I was thinking to get a new scanlation group for my own as i'm getting tired and disappointed about how working as a co-founder can kill you as fast as you're getting more MIA-ish staffs. I want a very girly scanlation group that will mainly do shoujo,romance and drama mangas. I was thinking of what name can I use and some names such as metamorphoKISS, Loving You and many other. Lovelipop came out at the last minute when i was about sending my application to our host, www.tetsunosuke.com, on Oct 18,2008. Then I set that date to be the time when Lovelipop Scans formed, the day i made up my mind. Scans is actually an abbreviation of Scanlation which is made up of two different words, Scan and Translation. You guys might know about it since it's just logic and common sense. Lovelipop itself made up from two words, Love and Lollipop. Those two things are really girlish so I kinda getting the idea of pink. That explain why I use pink for the website layout.
Do Lovelipop Scans set a standard for the quality of staffs, raws, releases and such?
Yes, of course we do. We don't mind for LQ raws but we prefer MQ and HQ raws. That can lead to better release quality. Maybe we can serve HQ to the readers but at least MQ can make it better. I'm planning to rip off some original Japanese and Chinese mangas for better raw quality but that will cost me a fortune if i did that to all of our projects. For staffs, I prefer staffs that don't go MIA-ish in the middle of the project and reply to me when i notify them about things and work related. I hate people that say they are willing to help but in the end they are just missing. I don't mind newbies that are really willing to help and really dedicated to their work as they can learn faster. I don't mind my staffs working on other groups either as long as they are not forgetting their works here in my group. We will always be recruiting staffs except for Proofreaders as PR is the easiest and fastest work within the group.
When will Lovelipop Scans release the projects and where can I get it?
We will release at least a chapter per month to keep this group alive but we can't specified the exact date of the anticipated release. My staffs have their own lives and their own personal issues. I don't want to be the mean boss and get them to work and let them abandon their private normal lives and issues. Yes, I might plan on surprise release for my staffs' birthdays and I hope they can do one for me too. But it seems that it will be impossible as I'm the main raw provider here, lolz. You can get our release here in our website or perhaps in the forum later in the future when we get one. I'm too lazy to work on an IRC Channel so I won't set up an IRC Channel. Official Release Host such as Evil-Empire and Onemanga can host my releases after 3-5 days delay from the releasing date.
Can I host Lovelipop Scans projects' on my site?
Yes, you can host our projects as we will not taking any licensed project but I get a rules that you must abide. All credits goes to Lovelipop Scans as the Scanlator and no reuploading or redistributing of our releases without our permission. My staffs have worked hard to make the releases possible and I couldn't stand it if someone out of nowhere redistribute our hard work as theirs anywhere. If you do that, I'll contact your host and get you a penalty for copyright violation.
